With little time to grace each other’s presence, Gray was briskly back home in Texas. Sarah, on a whim, accepted Gray’s invitation to a trip to Texas so the two could get to know one another. October Eighth was the day Sarah landed in Texas. That day, just as the colours of their eyes met, their love was pioneered. At the rise of a seedless winter, new life had been sown............................................................................................The two had remained entangled after that trip. Falling more in love with every minute. Their bond grew as they continued to find congruities in each other’s passions, backgrounds, and values. Gray took the leap to move to Denver in twenty twenty two.Before I set the scene of the pair’s engagement, I’d like to speak of love. Love, in itself, is a presence. The prevalence of love can exist just about anywhere, if you’d like it to. A direct action of mind and body. I’ve had the pleasure of observing a simple yet significant pattern in Sarah and Gray’s love: their love admits not of self.How they value and uphold each other speaks for itself. It is restorative and ever so kind. Their love, as we witness it, continues to transcend. In March of Twenty Twenty Four, the two lovers landed in Iceland for a holiday. Taking time to explore the beautiful country and all it has to offer. On March Twenty Third, having woken up surrounded by long stretches of land and Icelandic horses, they decided to take a drive around the countryside. The couple happened upon a small cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. As they walked out to gaze at the sea, Sarah knew at that moment she would ask for Gray’s hand in marriage. They turned to see that upon the hill, a heart had been carved in the grass from the strong Icelandic winds. The heart on the hillside was a signature of their love. A signature that must of necessity be called divine, for it could be no invention of man............................................................................................Sarah and Gray’s love continues to flourish and inspire those around them. To witness their journey in love is an honour. An intrinsic connection that aches to be remembered. Save the date for August Twenty-Ninth of Twenty Twenty Six to celebrate their love, in perpetuity.

We’ve reserved a room block at The Hoffmann Hotel for guests who want a more upscale option for the weekend. It’s walking distance to the venue, the restaurant is genuinely so good (especially their burgers), and it feels a little more elevated without charging Aspen prices. It’s a great choice if you want lakeside views and great service while still being close to everything.

We’ve reserved a room block at Element Basalt–Aspen, which is even closer to the venue (only two blocks away!). It’s a convenient, comfortable option for the weekend and a great home base if you want to stay nearby.

One of Sarah and Gray's favorite activities in the summertime is renting a kayak to float down the iconic Colorado river. Bring lots of suncreen and beer, and make sure to stop at the natural hot springs on the route!

Anyone who has visited Glenwood Springs with Sarah and Gray knows how much they enjoy going to the vapor caves. Existing as a natural underground vapor cavern utilized by the Ute Indians over 160 years ago, these caves have a rich history in Colorado. Plan a visit to witness these caves yourself, or to enjoy many of the spa services offered by Yampah.

Glenwood Springs boasts many restaurants, bars, and shops that Sarah and Gray have visited over the years. Ming's Cafe, Juicy Lucy's Steakhouse, Slope and Hatch, Mama's Pierogi, and Casey Brewing Taproom all come highly recommended.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to fly fish? How about with some of Colorado's most talented guides upon the Roaring Fork river that runs through Basalt? The guides at the Taylor Creek Fly shop are extremely knowledgeable and have taught Sarah and Gray so much about fly fishing.

The hike to Maroon Bells is one of the most iconic hikes in Colorado. Sarah and Gray have made this hike many times, and recommend it to anyone interested in seeing more of the natural beauty in the surrounding area. Pro tip: make sure to reserve parking ahead of time, or to finish before the last bus leaves (or else you'll end up hitchhiking like Easton...)
